Windows 7
hello,
I have a few questions about installing Windows 7
I now have vista home premium 32bit, it was came with my laptop but i don't realy like vista, i would have changed allready but i don't have any drivers of my laptop. I heard some good things about windows 7 and wanted to ask if it's possible te keep vista and windows 7 on the same laptop? So yes, do i have to install the drivers on windows 7 and how do you install them on the same pc?
I don't have any experience with dual booting.
Thank you for any replies.

As with any time you are messing around with partitions, it is entirely possible for something to go horribly wrong. I Recommend backing stuff up before you attempt this.

Partitions divide your hard drive into separate parts. So your computer may see your harddrive as 2 different hard drives: a D: and a C:
Operating systems should be installed on different partitions or harddrives to keep things separate, but different partitions can still see the contents of eachother just fine

I've been running win 7 build 7000 since about January with no problems. You'll have to install drivers for things like video card/sound card/whatever else you may have, but that's easy to do. Most companies have drivers for windows 7 now, and if they don't 9 times out of 10 the vista version works.

All you really need to do is find out what hardware you have, and what model it is, then drivers are easy enough to find.
